CD90.2, also known as Thy1.2, is a 25-35 kD immunoglobulin superfamily member. It's expressed on hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, all thymocytes, and peripheral T cells in Thy1.2-bearing mouse strains. CD90.2, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane glycoprotein, plays a role in signal transduction. It's involved in costimulating lymphocyte proliferation and inducing hematopoietic stem cell differentiation. CD90.2 has been shown to interact with CD45.
