This plug-and-play module features the advanced ATGM336H GPS receiver and BQ32000DR RTC, offering exceptional positioning accuracy of 2.5m and the ability to connect with up to six satellites. The module communicates with both BeiDou Navigation Satellite Systems and Global Navigation Satellite Systems across 32 tracking channels. Installation is seamless - the header plugs directly into your Raspberry Pi's 40-pin connector without requiring any soldering or additional cables. The onboard BQ32000DR real-time clock with backup battery maintains accurate time even during reboots, while the built-in charging circuit keeps the backup battery powered. The module delivers impressive performance with a 1-10Hz update rate and fast satellite acquisition, typically achieving first fix in about 32 seconds. The compact board measures 0.65 x 0.87 inches and operates reliably in temperatures from -40°F to 185°F. For optimal performance, pair with a U.Fl active GPS antenna (not included). The precise PPS signal connects to GPIO18 (Pin 12), enabling time synchronization accuracy within 1 microsecond when properly configured with chrony.
