A flexible wide-angle zoom in a compact format, the Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM is an equivalent lens of 16-28.9mm designed for EF-S mounting DSLRs. Helping to reduce the overall size, maintaining high optical quality, a four-group zoom design is employed along with an ultra-low dispersion element, an aspherical element and a large-diameter element to produce crisp, clear images without chromatic and spherical aberration. A Super Spectra coating has also been applied to suppress reflections and ghosts for enhanced contrast and color neutrality. Benefiting photo and video applications, a STM stepper AF motor is used to achieve fast and near silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus replacement. In addition, an effective four-stop Image Stabilizer system is also presented and minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper photos in the hand.
