500 grams of nutrient broth, used as a growth medium for the cultivation and study of bacterial samples. Broth comes dehydrated in a plastic open-mouth bottle for convenient storage. Nutrient broth is a good general purpose growth medium. Mix 8 grams of the dehydrated medium with a liter of water and bring to a boil before pouring into test tubes. This bottle makes 62 liters of broth, making it a good buy for a lab or classroom.
