The pes planus foot commonly known as flat foot where the lowered arch is a function of pronation. The development of bunions-and-hallux valgus, bunions, hallux valgus,toe-deformities, hammertoes, heel, knee, hip and lower back pain have been attributed to flat foot. Rear foot posts are applied on the medial side and helps move the calcaneus from an everted or valgus position to a neutral or varus postition to counter pronation and help balance the rear foot. This device is recommended for flat or low arch feet where ball of foot pain is not present.
