The crossmember is installed so that the exhaust clearance camel are closed at the top and open at the bottom. To use the provided 7/16 hardware it is necessary to extend the holes in the Frame Rails. If the installer chooses to use the 3/8 size, it is highly recommended that the stock hardware installer obtains grade 8 fasteners and washers to compensate.
