Customer Jacking Notes:
1. Jack on Level Ground: Ensure the vehicle is on a flat, stable surface to prevent slipping or tipping. Avoid soft ground (e.g., gravel or dirt) that could cause the jack to sink.
2. Engage Parking Brake: Confirm the parking brake is set to secure the vehicle.
3. Use Wheel Chocks: Place chocks behind and in front of wheels not being lifted for added stability.
4. Verify Jack Capacity: Use a jack rated for the vehicle's weight to avoid equipment failure.
5. Locate Proper Jack Points: Refer to the vehicle's manual for designated jacking points to prevent frame or body damage.
6. Add Jack Cap Pad: Place Jack Cap pad onto the bottle jack or floor jack and raise the jack while making sure it is centered to the vehicles jack point.
7. Use Jack Stands: After lifting, secure the vehicle with appropriately rated jack stands before working underneath.
8. Check Surroundings: Ensure no people, pets, or obstacles are near the vehicle during jacking.
9. Inspect Equipment: Confirm the jack and stands are in good condition, with no cracks or hydraulic leaks.
10. Lower Carefully: When done, lower the vehicle slowly and evenly to avoid sudden drops.
