Special Features

  • IDEAL FOR PLUG & SAWDUST SPAWN: This granulated food-grade paraffin wax is ideal for sealing holes in inoculated logs. Simply warm up in a pot or crock pot, dip your dauber, and place over hole where spawn has been inserted.
  • ONE POUND PER 10 LOGS: One pound of wax is enough to seal about 10 logs with some variability, depending on the size of the logs and whether you choose to seal the ends. (Sealing the holes is critical to success because it protects the spawn from drying out and from contamination.)
  • USE ANY TIME OF THE YEAR: If inoculating logs in fall and applying wax in temps below 50 degrees F, daubers and wax will harden quickly. Therefore, we recommend a plugged-in crock pot (vs. a pot taken from the stove) for dipping.

Description

This granulated food-grade paraffin wax is ideal for sealing holes in inoculated logs.
