3D-printed figurine of Psyche. Psyche's name means “breath of life". In ancient Greek mythology, Psyche is a mortal woman who unknowingly married Eros (god of love) and became a powerful goddess of the Soul. She was so beautiful, even the goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite got jealous and put her through impossible trials just to get rid of her. But Psyche's relentless love to her husband Eros eventually led her through the death to immortality of Olympus. Psyche is one of the most popular characters in ancient Greek mythology. She symbolizes as a butterfly metamorphoses from the concealed darkness of cocoon to the beautiful creature full of light, colors and love. Other symbols of Psyche: waterfalls as a cleansing and the flow of life, crescent waning moon, eyes, three stars (body/life/soul), perfumed oil, water lily, willow tree and eagles. Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. Then it painted in black primer with a silver/gold rubbing compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue of the vintage gothic style. And finally coated with protective lacquer. The whole process of 3D-printing and painting usually takes 16 hours. As an option I can ship the statuette without painting it (please indicate it with your purchase as a black option). 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
