The WoodRiver 120-grit CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) Coated Grinding Wheel is used for grinding steel of all kinds. The CBN coating is tough and will never load up or require dressing to remain flat, plus wheel balance isn't an issue because the wheel is machined from a steel plate. The CBN coating and the steel wheel work together to keep heat at bay, so bluing a tool is less likely, and the coating will last a really long time. There is also no danger of the wheel breaking or fragmenting during use and while this is certainly an added safety feature, we recommend the wheel be used with all guards in place. For use on slow-speed grinders with a 5/8" arbor.
