Special Features

  • Shorai LFM batteries are up to 80 percent lighter than their lead acid equivalents. This saves an average of 2-3 lbs. for dirt bikes, 6-8 lbs. for street bikes and 10-20 lbs. for touring and cruiser bikes.
  • Shorai LFM batteries provide improved starting performance compared to their lead acid equivalents. Shorai LFX batteries operate at a higher voltage range and during cranking, maintain a higher voltage level which results in quicker start times.
  • Shorai LFM batteries do not sulfate while sitting. Shorai LFM batteries do not suffer the chemical degradation that is common with lead acid batteries.
  • Shorai LFM batteries come in a variety of case shapes and sizes, capacity options and right/left polarity options, for the best possible fitment. Shorai makes nearly two dozen battery options designed to fit market needs for street, dirt, touring and cruiser motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, personal watercraft, riding lawnmowers and utility vehicles.
  • Shorai LFM batteries are designed to maximize ease of installation, allowing customers to self-install.
  • Shorai LFM batteries set the industry standard for lithium power sports batteries with a Five year pro-rated warranty. Warranty ONLY applies to Shorai batteries chosen according to the “Battery Finder” on Shorai website for OEM vehicle or OEM battery match. Do not “downsize” battery capacity, or warranty is void. This battery is not an approved fitment for customized BMW motorcycles. Use of this battery in a non-approved fitment will void the warranty.
  • While standard lead-acid chargers can be used (Do not use if it has an automatic "desulfation mode", "repair", "recondition", or "recovery" mode) with Shorai batteries when needed, the Shorai BMS01 Battery Charger is specifically designed to charge, maintain, balance and diagnose Shorai's LFM batteries. Shorai batteries have the same charge requirements as AGM lead-acid batteries and all modern vehicle charging systems work with Shorai LFM batteries.

Description

Shorai LFM Lithium-iron Battery w/BMS, LFM14A2-BS12, 4.0Ah 13.2V, 52.8WHr, "A" polarity, Case Type 2. Shorai Batteries require a charging system output of 13.1 Volts or higher at idle, and must not exceed 15.2 volts at maximum output. Due to transport regulations, all batteries are shipped at 30% SOC (State of charge). Please fully charge the battery before use.
