One of my favorite parts of our homeschool journey was reading aloud to our boys. We read all sorts of literature together, and while they all sparked wonderful conversation, one that sticks out to me is Aesop's Fables. With lessons to be learned, we would quickly know what role a fox, crow, hare, owl, and more might play in these short stories. We enjoyed how folklore and fables humanized animals to teach us a lesson.
