This is a replacement Embedded Display Flex Cable for A1707 2016 2017 series, this eDP cable for use with Retina screens uses a cable with connection on the logic board and a connection on the LCD panel.

The eDP (Embedded DisplayPort) cable connects the logic board to the LCD panel and transfers power and video data, there are two eDP cables for 15" computers released Mid 2017 and this cable is only compatible with those that have Retina 4K displays.
