Replacing the covers is as easy as clipping on and or screwing the cover to the outside of the console, NO technical disassembly is required. Compatible with NEW3DSXL/LL 2015 USA or EUR/JPN Edition ONLY, NOt fit for old 3DSXL (2012 model), NEW3DS (2014), 3DS (2014). Fitting this kit requires a medium level of technical ability, we would not recommend this product for beginners. The Screws not included, two screws for the bottom battery cover plate will need to be transferred from the original cover.
