The E-Z Chamfer deburring tool features High Speed Steel (HSS) construction for removing burrs and ridges from threaded rods, bolts, pipes and bar stock. With a range of 0.7” – 1.5” (18-38mm), it efficiently shears off threads and burrs to create a smooth chamfer for starting nuts and dies. Suitable for mild, hard, very hard, stainless and super hard steels, optimal results come from using a slow drill speed with medium pressure on most materials. For best tool life, use lower speeds up to 800RPM max and avoid impact drivers. Larger E-Z Chamfer sizes of 18-24mm should run at 600RPM, 23-29mm at 400RPM and 30-38mm at 300RPM. Just 1-3 threads usually need chamfering to achieve a clean start.
