  • The secondary ignition probe allows the oscilloscope function to measure the kilovolts value of ignition systems with Distributorless system (DIS) or conventional ones.
  • This is a capacitive pickup that simply connects around the insulation of an ignition circuit component such as a plug wire.
  • The Secondary ignition probe obtains the using a capacitive clip and a conditioning circuit in order to deliver a readable waveform to the oscilloscope.

1. The test-clip should be connected to the isolative wire of ignition plug instead of ignition plug itself to prevent the fire of electrical shock.
