It is an old Hindu tradition to write Shubh Labh at the entrance of home and shops. Shubh means auspicious prosperity and Labh means profit or gains. Writing 'Shubh' is like praying to God that whatever auspicious is there, it should come to our house. Writing 'Labh' means that we should be benefited with whatever is auspicious and good for keeping the house going forward. By writing Shub Labh we pray that we get gains through righteous means and it brings happiness in our homes and lives. Hindu preaches that gains must be auspicious in order for it to bestow happiness to a person. So writing Shub Labh is an important concept at the entrance of homes and shops.
