Ceramic media helps to more effectively distribute grit to rock surfaces during tumbling, reduces tumbler noise, serves as filler for smaller batches, and reduces rock breakage through every grit cycle. You will receive good procuct.

Recommended:
The same pellets should be used throughout the tumbling process, all stages. That way, the pellet surface gets the same abrasion that the rocks do.
If you used new pellets in later stages, they would be more abrasive and could actually work against the tumbling media you are using.
