It lies after the exhaust manifold and before the catalytic converter of the vehicle, can reduce carbon emissions and hydrocarbon pollutants by pumping fresh air from outside into the exhaust stream so unburned fuel can be burned.
【Time to Replace】 Secondary Air Injection Pump failures are almost always caused by corrosion that derives from water or moisture in exhaust gas that finds its way into the pump enclosure. If there is ever a problem, more hydrocarbon pollutants will be in the fumes which come out of your tailpipe.
