The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 Shield has all of the same great features as the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38, but is designed with a water repellant outer to keep your feet warm and dry. It contains the same bouncy React midsole foam with an Air Zoom pod in the forefoot to give you a better push off. The outsole is ready for wet and slick conditions with Nike's Storm Tread. Storm Tread is a tacky rubber outsole, so traction is improved on wet surfaces. The medial side of the outsole has chevron shapes to help with grip; the lateral side sports a crash pad to soften foot strike; and a shallow cavity under the heel increases heel cushioning.
