This is a beautiful 925 Silver Jerusalem Cross. The pendant was made in Thailand. Stamped 925. The symbol has deep history and I encourage one to research it further but it appears to have originated in the 11 century and its association with the kingdom of Jerusalem in the second half of the Thirteenth century. Representing the five wounds of Christ as well as a depiction of the city of Jerusalem with the Tower of David between the dome of the rock and the holy Sepulchre surrounded by the city walls. It was a symbol on coats of arms as well as coins. .The silver pendant is a nice design, lightweight and not so thick. Size: 1" tall and 1" wide ( 2.4 cm tall and 2.4 cm wide ) not including clasp Weight: .21 oz ( 5.8 gm)
