The Nike Space Hippie 02 “Hyper Crimson” is an exclusive model created for Nike's exploratory “Space Hippie” collection of footwear options. Crafted using what Nike deems as “space junk,” which is actually unused scraps from the brand's cutting room floor, the space-themed motif raises the idea of what life would be like to live on Mars with little in the way of supply and materials. The woven sock-like upper is finished off in a Vast Grey hue and features a Hyper Crimson dotted Swoosh that extends from toe to heel. Devoid of a traditional lacing system, Nike instead opts for a cream nylon motif in its place. A FoamX midsole with speckled detailing and an outsole displaying “space junk” puts the finishing touches on this unique shoe. Release date: August 12, 2020.
