Spyderco named this knife "Persistence" because it's made to be ever-ready, durable, and versatile. It's a smaller version of the company's popular Tenacious model, with a milled black G-10 laminate handle intended to reduce fatigue while cutting. Skeletonized steel liners are tucked inside the handle, increasing rigidity and strength without adding weight. An 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade is a modified skinning style, ground flat and capable of holding a keen edge over time. The oversized round hole is positioned relative to the blade's pivot point to optimize one-handed opening and closing and, when it's time to be moving on, the four-way pocket clip lets the folding knife sit tip-up or tip-down, left- or right-handed.
