Abrasive Material: These 3 inch sanding discs are built with a high-strength wear-resistant fiber mesh as the base material. Coarse grit brings extremely strong cutting force and fast material removal. Their open mesh structure lets dust drain through holes, preventing surface clogging to keep cutting steady. The base resists stretching and tearing, avoiding damage from rust slag or paint film adhesion. Hard silicon carbide abrasive easily cuts tough rust layers, oxide scales, and thick paint.
Multi-Purpose: These surface conditioning discs have various uses. Industrial, they grind thick paint, heavy rust, oxide scales, and blackened heat-affected zones on steel, bridges, ships, heavy machinery, and storage tanks, auto body panel old paint, and rust. At home, they clean rust/old paint from old iron work, doors, and stainless steel sinks. They work on metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, zinc alloy) and non-metals (concrete, stone, tile, cement)
Flexible Mounting: The die grinder sanding disc has a knob at the center that matches the 1/4" round/hex shank tray knob hole, allowing for quick changes in the grinding tool configuration. They are suitable with various electric and pneumatic rotary tools, thus maximizing control over the grinding process.
Usage Tips: They support dry grinding (with a vacuum) or wet grinding (with water); wet grinding further cuts dust, lowers heat, and stops debris splatter. Before use these R-tyle lock discs, make sure the 1/4" round/hex shank of the R-type tray is clamped tightly on R-tyle lock discs to prevent loosening during high-speed rotation. Not thin/soft metals, plastic, or wood (risk of piercing/burning).
