Evolv shoes are not designed to be downsized. Evolv sizing uses three categories of fit: Advanced: Ultra snug - Order same size as street shoe; Intermediate: Snug - Order 1.0 size larger than street shoe; Beginner: Relaxed - Order 2 sizes larger than street shoe. Unsure? Order 1 size larger than street shoe.
PSR is a rock shoe selection tool that ranges from (1) sensitive/smearing to (10) powerful/edging. PSR 1-3: Highly sensitive for smearing and volumes; PSR 4-7: Versatile for smearing and edging; PSR 8-10: Powerful for small holds.
Evolv shoes come in 2 different volumes. Medium Volume MV is appropriate for all performance levels. Low Volume LV is appropriate for intermediate and advanced performance levels. LV is 6% lower volume across entire shoe than MV.

The Evolv V6 2026 Climbing Shoe (PSR 6) is the perfect choice for boulderers trying to achieve the elusive grade it was named after. We took the same features you know and love from the original V6 and gave it a new upper for an enhanced fit. We also updated the V6 sole for 2026, using EVO 74 – our stickiest rubber compound – and since the outsole is full-length, you get an even flex while smearing. An asymmetric shape combined with a downturned toe work together to provide the precision and power that steep boulders and small footholds demand. The heel cup and rubber toe coverage make toe and heel hooks easier than ever before. A 100% vegan construction uses a synthetic upper and rubber over the forefoot to keep the shoe from stretching much over time. The single strap closure ensures a snug fit that's quick and easy to take on and off.
