The RIKON 80-805M 1/2 HP Low Speed Bench Grinder is designed for users who want the flexibility to choose their own compatible grinding wheels. Different users sharpen and grind different tools, and wheel material, grit, hardness, and quality can vary widely depending on the application. This machine is supplied without grinding wheels so users can configure the grinder to match their specific sharpening or light-duty grinding needs. Powered by a 1/2 HP motor with low speed 1,750 RPM operation, the 80-805M is suitable for woodworkers, turners, carvers, knife makers, and shop users working with chisels, plane irons, turning tools, knives, and other hand tools when equipped with the proper wheels. The grinder with Cast Iron Base features 2.05 in. / 52 mm long arbors with M16 threaded ends and nuts for mounting compatible wheels. The on/off switch includes a removable safety pin to help prevent unwanted startup or unauthorized use. Grinding wheels are not included.
