Special Features

  • The Tsunami Pure-5 Series Regenerative Dryer is rated for 15 CFM airflow, and fitted for 5 HP compressors. MADE IN THE USA
  • Pre-Filtration First: Compressed air passes through Tsunami's pre-filtration (water separator and oil coalescing filter with internal float drain) to remove liquid water, oil, and particulates before drying.
  • Regenerative Desiccant Drying: The air enters twin desiccant towers filled with molecular sieve that adsorbs moisture, drying the air to very low humidity and dew point levels.
  • Cyclic Regeneration: A solenoid timer valve switches airflow between towers every ~2 minutes. The “off-line” tower is regenerated using a small portion of dry air (sweep air), keeping desiccant continuously effective.
  • 1/4" NPT Inlet X 1/2" NPT Outlet, 175 PSI Max, 150 Degree Temperature MAX, 25" Height, 17" Width, 12" Depth, 42 LBS, Wall Mounting Bracket Included, Installation & Maintenance Instructions Included

Description

Superior dry air quality achieves very low dew points (as low as –80 °f) and relative humidity down to 0.01% rh — ideal for critical applications where moisture damages tools or processes. Pre-filtration ensures that oil and particulates are removed before drying, maximizing desiccant life. Pre-filtration overview: tsunami filters are machined from the highest quality materials and are anodized inside and out to ensure ultimate durability against corrosion and trapped contaminates. Water separator removes water and filters particulate down to 10 micron. The oil coalescing filter removes oil aerosols down to .001 ppm and particulates down to .01 micron. Tsunami pure series two-tower contains two parallel desiccant towers filled with high-performance molecular sieve desiccant. Only one tower is actively drying at any given time. While one tower dries air, the other tower regenerates, allowing for continuous drying. Drying phase: moist compressed air enters the active tower. Moisture molecules stick to the molecular sieve surface (adsorption). The outgoing air is extremely dry with a very low dew point suitable for sensitive applications. Regeneration phase: after a set interval (usually ~2–3 minutes), flow shifts to the other tower. The off-line tower is regenerated using a small portion of the already dried air (sweep air). This removes the moisture previously captured by the desiccant, restoring its drying capacity. Simple regenerative design with few moving parts reduces stress points and maintenance. Cycling design continuously refreshes desiccant, minimizing downtime. How the automatic float drain works: Condensate fills a chamber containing a mechanical float. As the float rises, it mechanically opens a drain orifice. Once the liquid level drops, the float falls and closes the valve.
