The Schneiders FES Competitor Ball Jointed Spade is a premium bit designed for seasoned, finished horses participating in Western classes. This high-performance bit is not recommended for inexperienced riders, heavy-handed riders, or young horses. It features a high port that automatically engages when the horse lifts its head, and relies on bar and palate pressure, providing relief when the horse flexes at the poll. The stainless steel swivel cheeks and swivel port with copper rollers on each side allow the rider to work each side separately during schooling.
