The FCD180G ice maker's water inlet valve is a core control component of the commercial ice maker's water supply system. It automatically opens or closes the water circuit based on the ice maker's internal water level signal, ensuring timely water supply when needed and stopping supply once the set water level is reached.
It operates on AC110-127V, compatible with standard commercial power supplies. The solenoid valve's fast response time enables instant start/stop control of the water circuit, avoiding common problems with traditional mechanical water inlet valves such as incomplete closure, continuous leakage, and excessive water intake.
When the water inlet valve ages, two common malfunctions occur: first, it cannot close, causing continuous water intake and overflow leakage when the water level is full; second, it cannot open, causing the ice maker to stop working due to water shortage. Replacing it with this solenoid water inlet valve solves both problems at once.
Installation is simple and requires no special tools. After turning off the water and disconnecting the power, remove the old or damaged water inlet valve, wrap the new valve's water pipe connector with Teflon tape, align the threads, tighten, and then connect the power and water supply to complete the replacement.
The accuracy of the water supply from the inlet valve directly affects the ice-making efficiency of the ice maker. Insufficient water intake will lead to a longer ice-making cycle and a decrease in ice output; excessive water intake may cause water to flow into the ice storage chamber, causing the ice to melt and stick together. This valve accurately replenishes water as needed, ensuring that the ice output reaches the equipment's rated standard.
