This Dixon BSS61 series anodized aluminum dry quick disconnect swivel adapter has a male bayonet style straight swivel end, female NPT end, Buna seal, and connects a hose to a tank or manifold. Anodized aluminum provides greater strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion than non-anodized aluminum, and the Buna seal is suitable for high tensile strength, compatibility with a variety of chemicals, and resistance to abrasion, tear, and compression set. The female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threads connect to male NPT-threaded connections for a tighter seal than straight threads, and the male bayonet end connects to a female bayonet connection. This fitting's maximum working pressure (MWP) is 85pounds per square inch (psi) at 70 degrees F. It is not designed to be interchangeable with other types of disconnects. It can be used with Emco Wheaton Dry Break fittings commonly used in the fuel and lube oil service industry.
