Vanner VoltMaster 66-60 Battery Equalizer — 24V Input / 12V Output / 60 Amp The Vanner 66-60 VoltMaster Battery Equalizer provides a reliable, high-efficiency method of obtaining regulated 12V DC power from a 24V DC electrical system. It connects to the +24V, +12V, and ground terminals of a two-battery series array and automatically balances the charge between both 12V batteries while simultaneously supplying 12V loads — eliminating the imbalance that would otherwise overcharge one battery and discharge the other.
Electrical Specifications
Input Voltage: 18–32V DC (24V nominal) | Output Voltage: 12V DC (input ÷ 2, ±2% / –50mV) | Rated Output Current: 0–60A | Max 24V Input Current: 32A | Peak Efficiency: >97% | Standby Current: 17mA at 28.4V
Physical & Environmental
Enclosure: Anodized aluminum — averts salt, dust, water, fuel vapors, and vehicle fluids | Weight: 6.0 lbs | Operating Temp: –40°F to +167°F (–40°C to +75°C) | Storage Temp: –65°F to +203°F (–54°C to +95°C)
Installation Notes
Family 5 unit (non-repairable). Integrated status indicator light confirms operation. Mount vertically with terminals down for optimal heat dissipation. Maximum terminal torque: 120 in-lbs. Fault protection device (fuse or circuit breaker) required between equalizer and battery per SAE, NEC, and UL guidelines. May be paralleled with Family 1, 3, or 4 models for increased 12V capacity.
Typical Applications
Transit buses, private coaches, tour and charter buses, heavy trucks, off-highway equipment, marine vessel house systems, and solar/alternative energy applications.
Warranty
2 years from date of installation or 2.5 years from date of manufacture, whichever is less, when installed per Vanner guidelines.
