Reproduction front or rear brake caliper rebuild kit for the Yamaha models listed. Replace the piston seal when replacing your piston or after cleaning the stock piston. Forms a tight seal to prevent brake fluid from seeping past the piston.
Note: Some models changed brake calipers during their production run, double check the fitment list and piston dimensions.

Make sure to thoroughly clean the channel in the caliper that holds the seal, if there is any built up grease or dirt it will not allow the seal to sit properly which will affect the pistons ability to engage and retract.
The darker side of the piston with the indented ridge faces the brake pad.
Use brake grease between the piston and the pad but do not allow any grease or brake fluid to come in contact with brake pads. (this kit does not come with pads)
