This steering shaft kit is compatible with the AP02 steering box and includes a 36-inch solid steel steering shaft with 3/4-inch double-D (DD) ends, cut-to-size for installation.The kit contains three black universal joints: one 1-inch DD x 3/4-inch DD joint for connecting the steering shaft to the steering column, one 3/4-inch DD x 3/4-inch DD joint for joining two sections of the steering shaft, and one 3/4-inch-30 spline x 3/4-inch DD joint for connecting the steering shaft to the steering gear.All U-joints are CNC-machined from steel and assembled with needle bearings, rated for at up to 30 degrees of angular articulation.A 3/4-inch zinc-plated support bearing with mounting hardware is included and required when more than two U-joints are used in the steering system to maintain proper alignment and prevent binding.The steering shaft provides torsional rigidity between the steering wheel and steering gear.
