Partall Film #10 is a water/alcohol-based polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) release agent that forms a barrier between parts and surfaces that are still curing (green or recently reconditioned moulds can be reactive)
Partall Film #10, is resistant to solvents and styrene yet is water soluble. Protects against mould hang ups with polyester and vinylester resins; also used with epoxy and urethane resins.
PVA is most commonly applied over mould release wax although some users find success by adding wax over the PVA film (giving a second part cycle before replacing PVA.)
Partall Film #10 can also be used as a surface cure agent during gel coat repairs (locks out moisture in the air that inhibits resin cure).

Description
PARTALL Film #10 is a water and alcohol based polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) coating comprised of solvent-resistant, film-forming materials. Once dry, the PVA film is resistant to solvents in the resin system used to make composites parts but is soluble in water. It is particularly recommended as a parting agent for separation between polyester, vinylester, or epoxy resins and various surfaces but may be used with most thermoset resins. PARTALL Film #10 is not recommended for use with substrates or resins (e.g., phenolics) containing water or giving off water during cure or with automotive finishes. PARTALL Film #10 parts easily from surface and is readily dissolved from parts and spray equipment with water.
