High quality 78 RPM turntable needle from the Canadian record player accessories expert: My Needle Store.

This needle for record player is made by our supplier in Switzerland and is made specifically to fit the wider grooves of Shellac records.
78 RPM styli are bigger, conical and have a higher tracking force than needles that fit 16 / 33 / 45 LPs.

Why it's important to use a 78 RPM stylus on Shellac records:
-Correct groove fit: Sits properly on the groove walls, while an LP stylus (~0.7 mil) drops too deep, scraping the groove bottom and mistracking.
-Protects your records: Using an LP tip on shellac acts like a tiny chisel: it accelerates wear, chips brittle shellac, and can damage the stylus.
-Much better sound: With the right tip size you get stable tracking, lower surface noise, and truer tone.
