This check valve is specifically engineered for use in compressed air systems. It is typically installed on the outlet of an air compressor tank or in the air line to perform a critical one-way function.
Made from durable, corrosion-resistant brass with external (male) NPT threads. This provides a strong, long-lasting connection that can withstand the vibration and pressure of a compressor system.
Its primary purpose is to allow pressurized air to flow from the compressor into the tank or downstream air lines, while automatically preventing air (and condensation) from flowing back into the compressor pump when it cycles off. This protects the pump.
By blocking reverse flow, it keeps the air tank pressurized so your tools are ready for immediate use. It also prevents the tank from draining back through the compressor, which could cause starting issues.
A standard and vital component in many air compressor installations and air tool setups. It can be integrated into systems that also use solenoid valves for automated control of the main air supply.
