Special Features

  • PACKING LIST: drill bits in 5/8" cutting diameter, 1/2" (12.7mm) shank diameter, 74mm/3" flute length, 150mm/6" overall length, 135° split point.
  • FEATURE: 4341 High-Speed Steel (HSS) Twist Drills excel in medium-low speed, high-impact, and cost-sensitive applications. The black and gold finish can further enhance the drill bit's wear and corrosion resistance, thereby extending its service life.
  • APPLICATION: The reduced drill bit delivers superior all-around performance, making it the optimal choice for most metal drilling applications. Suitable for light-duty machining; applicable to low-carbon steel, aluminum alloy, brass, cast iron, medium-carbon steel, stainless steel, acrylic, plastic, wood, etc. For machining thicker metals, low RPM + flood coolant is required.
  • INSTRUCTION: Ensure the drill bit axis is perpendicular to the workpiece surface to prevent lateral force and breakage. Use appropriate rotational speed: Use lower speeds when machining materials like stainless steel. As a general rule, harder materials require slower speeds. Maintain steady and moderate feed pressure.
  • NOTE: It is strongly recommended to use cutting fluid (e.g., emulsion, oil-based coolant) to effectively reduce temperature, minimize wear, extend drill bit life, and improve hole wall quality. If coolant is unavailable, adopt an intermittent drilling method by frequently retracting the drill to clear chips and dissipate heat. Ensure the drill bit is securely clamped in the chuck or tool holder to prevent slipping and vibration.
