The sensor works well in typical conditions and is rarely affected by cleaner vapors. However, it is sensitive to temperature changes, as resistance increases with heat. Users should account for this in water heater system design to minimize false positives.
Flammable vapor sensor film: Capable of quickly reacting to gasoline vapors in the surrounding air of the water heater, causing a change in resistance based on the vapor concentration.
Quick response: Upon detecting a leak, it quickly triggers the control module to shut off the gas supply to the water heater and prevent ignition, reducing safety risks.
No external power required: It relies solely on the small amount of power provided by the control circuit to read the sensor's resistance changes and perform subsequent processing.
Fixing the water heater issue: After replacing the sensor, the water heater quickly started working again and hot water was restored.
