Pump works at rated voltage: When there exists no/ in-sufficient in-flow (or significant air bubble contained), it is DRY RUN scenario and protection will be triggered: Pump will access stop-run-stop-run---cycle, greatly reducing rotation speed. When flow comes sufficiently again, pump will re-access normal run. It greatly alleviates physical friction between rotor and pump body and heat generated, yet, NOT completely eliminates the friction since still running yet at lower pace.
