If your Hypro D50 is in constant use, it is recommended to replace diaphragms every 3 months or 500 hours to keep the pump reliable in the field. Most times, the diaphragms will need to be replaced if you notice oil comes out of the discharge port or if the oil has a milky grey color in the sight glass. This indicates one or more of the diaphragms have split. Replace the diaphragms and do not run the pump. Running your pump with torn diaphragms can cause serious damage to your pump.
