This extra-long Laboy Allihn condenser with 24/40 standard taper joints and about 500mm effective length is designed for applications where maximum cooling capacity and flexible coolant connections are important. The extended series of spherical bulbs in the vapor tube provides a very large condensing surface, allowing efficient reflux or distillation of higher-boiling solvents, larger batch sizes or long-running reactions. It can serve as a primary workhorse condenser in busy teaching or research labs that routinely handle demanding organic chemistry processes. The condenser is hand-blown from borosilicate 3.3 glass with uniform wall thickness, providing excellent clarity, chemical durability and resistance to thermal shock. Top outer and bottom inner 24/40 joints interface directly with common 24/40 flasks, adapters and Soxhlet extractors. Removable hose connections give you the ability to swap or replace fittings, adapt different tubing sizes and remove the hose barbs for more thorough cleaning and drying between uses, without putting mechanical stress on the glass body.
