Berg Larsen's journey began in 1945, crafting mouthpieces from black ebonite, a traditional material offering resonant tones. Initially a professional musician, Berg also made reeds in London. He designed and manufactured ebonite mouthpieces for clarinet and saxophone, later expanding to stainless steel for durability. Though Berg passed in 1972, his legacy endures. Today, Berg Larsen offers diverse mouthpiece materials and styles, renowned for handcrafted sax mouthpieces. Each piece undergoes ten machining processes, individually hand-finished and inspected for quality. A comprehensive range of tip openings ensures a mouthpiece for every player.
