This micro straight bar load cell is a strain gauge sensor, can translate up to 3kg of pressure (force) into an electrical signal, made from an aluminum-alloy. The resistance of a strain gauge changes when force is applied and the object is deformed along with the foil and this change will give a different electrical output. With this gauge you will be able to tell just how heavy an object is, if an object's weight changes over time, or if you simply need to sense the presence of an object by measuring strain or load applied to a surface.
This 3kg straight bar load cell comes with a hardware that ends with a hook. This allows you to easily install and hang your load cell. Strain gauges are useful for projects when you need to measure pressure, force, weight, and tension.
