Hydraulic Log Splitter Cylinder Rebuild Seal Kit Installation Notes:

1.Clean the open end of the cylinder and remove all paint and corrosion on the ring compression ramps leading into the opening.

2.Apply plenty of grease or silicone ring lube on the rings and cylinder opening.

3.If available, utilize a 4-inch piston ring compressor to facilitate the smooth insertion of the rings into the cylinder.

4.During the initial attempt to install the piston and end cap, take note of any chipped paint and corrosion on the beveled inner edge of the cylinder, as this may cause issues such as the new O-rings catching, rolling out of the grooves, and tearing.
