Manual Timing Tensioner for Prelude V2 1993-2001 H22 H23 H-Series Engines Fitment: Designed to fit Prelude models from 1993 to 2001 equipped with H-series engines Compatible with 1993-1996 Prelude 2.2L DOHC L4 16V VTEC, Engine Code H22A1 Compatible with 1997-2001 Prelude 2.2L DOHC L4 16V VTEC, Engine Code H22A4 Suitable for vehicles with H22A, H22A1, H22A4, and JDM H23A VTEC engines Features: Replaces the stock automatic tensioner known for premature failure, which can lead to engine damage such as bent valves Eliminates the need for an H23 manual tensioner conversion Constructed from billet aluminum for and precise fitment Installs using existing mounting points—requires removal of two bolts for replacement Installation Steps: Install the tensioner in the factory location, securing it to the engine block Retract the adjuster fully and position it into the timing assembly Align all timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft Gradually tighten the manual adjuster while monitoring alignment to achieve proper belt tension Avoid over-tightening the timing belt Secure the lock nut once correct tension is achieved, approximately 1/4 inch deflection on both sides of the belt Rotate the crankshaft by hand after tightening to verify that all timing marks remain aligned
