This brooch truly is one of a kind. The stone is a doublet, which means it is crafted from two stones that are joined together to create a different look. The bottom part of the stone is black agate. The top of the stone is plume agate and they are joined by a blue adhesive that creates a 3D sky with clouds. This stone is made by an artist in Java, Indonesia. No two stones are ever the same due to the different properties of each. It is set in a simple pewter frame with a pinch back pin setting.
