These external filters offer excellent mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration, providing flexibility to use a wide range of filter media. Water is drawn into the canister through the intake at the bottom, pushed through the selected media by the built-in pump, and then returned to the tank through the outlet.
Because canister filters sit outside the aquarium, they provide a large volume of filtration without taking up space inside the tank. They can also be easily disconnected for cleaning or maintenance without disturbing your aquarium or its inhabitants.
