The AW-101 Merlin is a medium-heavy multi-role helicopter developed by Agusta Westland (now Leonardo) in collaboration with Westland Helicopters. It was set and developed, on the recommendation of both the British Royal Navy and the Italian Navy, to replace the now obsolete SH-3D "Sea King".
