It also has large working distance objectives (3.7mm for 40X objective) which is absence in regular high power compound microscopes. The PLAN infinity achromatic objectives assure high image quality from center to edge. The stage has large translational range (10"x10") with coarse and fine coaxial knobs and a unique hand-push fast movement mechanism.
