Mandrakes typically resemble a man made out of roots. They start off looking like a bulb that then grows roots, sprouts, 'eyes' and a 'mouth'. The roots then grow small bulbs at the ends with the 'head' portion also growing roots. Mandrakes that have screamed and haven't have a different coloration, with ones that haven't being darker.
